Jazz music-Bruce McKenzie- Discography

Get what you really wanted for the holidays!

Destinations-Bruce McKenzie

This CD release is dedicated to my wife, Oneida and my sons and my daughter who is on the way.  The project was accomplished during a period in which I felt a need to express where I am and where I want to go.  "Destinations" is sort of my way of allowing the world to know that I love to travel (ask my wife) and I love having a journey to look forward to.  This CD is already making its way across the world via this site and moving forward to a couple of major physical distribution outlets.  My favorites on this project is "Summer Breeze" and of course the title track, "Destinations".  Make sure you purchase your copy today!

Aesthetic Melodology-Bruce McKenzie

My CD release "Aesthetic Melodology" is my reflection of what I like in terms of nice and mellow combination of jazz licks and a blend of RnB and Blues! I created this project over a span of a year and decided to release it based on the requests of my followers around the globe!  The title track, "Aesthetic Melodology" is my way of saying that I am a student of this exciting genre of smooth jazz!  I had a lot of fun developing this project because of the fact that I am a solo musician!  Felix Marin, a great friend, great classical guitarist, and an overall super musician accompanied me on the track, "Aria of Reminiscence".  Felix added a nice touch to that track and yes, we had a great connection on the project.

The first track, "Bring It On" brought out my love for "'Earth, Wind, and Fire"!  I grew up in the 60s and 70s, so those strong funk roots come out every once and a while!  I wouldn't class this track as "smooth jazz" in the typical sense of the term, but its my "hyped up" jazz version of smooth!  Track five, "Futuristic" was my reflection of where I think the fusion of jazz and RnB is today!  I really enjoyed composing this track and felt it was kinda one of those tracks in which you place it on the project and stand back and watch.

This CD captures my passion for smooth jazz/instrumental music!  Norman Brown, Paul Jackson Jr, Marcus Miller, Wayman Tisdale, and Doc Powell to name a few are all my inspirational icons!  I also attribute my passion to my sons and my family and some of my closest friends around the globe like Brian Matthews in Florida who should truly be my manager because he is my lone lost brother and LaTonya Simmons back home in Fayetteville, North Carolina, who , in 1997 while visiting me in Dayton, Ohio, initially pushed me to record solo!  I also want to acknowledge  Kazuhiko Yamaguchi in Japan for being the first person to purchase "Aesthetic Melodology" as soon as it was released!

Special Moments-Bruce McKenzie

My first CD project, "Special Moments" is a compilation of a variety of tracks I actually created over a few years!  I was waiting for the actual time to release them and found that I needed to move forward and release it!  I am very proud of this CD project and had a great time working on it.  My emotions were very high when I released this CD and truly felt good about it.  The title, "Special Moments" was my debut title track and it found its way into the homes and a few radio stations around the world! Also a big thanks to Wartaw Jazz in Indonesia and JazzFM in London and the numerous stations around the world for giving my Special Moments CD air play!  Much love to ya!     Special Moments
