Equipment

Here are just a few of the items I used in my studio and when I perform live.  I also use a lot of MIDI equipment and software such as Pro Tools, etc.

Brown Sunburst

The Ibanez GB 10 is completely off da chain and I use it quite frequently for recording and for live performance.  The action on this axe is remarkable and the warm sound, especially from the neck pickup gives me the deep and warm sound I love!

NaturalThe Ibanez Artcore AF105 is a sweet archtop that I also use.  I love the action and the feel of the neck.  I recommend that you change the pickups that come standard with this guitar to a pickup that can provide a warmer sound such as a Seymour-Duncan humbucker or a Shadow SH AZ 49 Top-Professional Jazz pickup.  This axe is sweet however and plays like a charm!

My Fender 5-string jazz bass is "off-da-chain"!  Thats all I can say and every since I had the neck adjusted, this baby plays like a breeze! I perform all of the bass tracks on my projects and use this baby primarily.  I have two other basses (an Ibanez and another Fender), but this one is my favorite. One thing in particular I love about this bass is the HMV (High Mass Vintage) Bridge which increases sustain and provides a fatter bottom for my slower tracks!

I use this baby in combination with a few sound modules to include the Yamaha Motif and the Roland Fantom XR sound module.  This keyboard has a lot of excellent effects and arpeggios that will blow your mind.  The weighted keys make is a very nice instrument to play.  Although I am not primarily a keyboard player, this keyboard facilitates the job for me!  I also use MIDI with my Godin, which also brings another dimension to my work.

Light BurstThis has to be the sweetest synth guitar on the market!  The tracking on this baby is out of this world!  I use it in conjunction with my Yamaha MM8 and I use a Roland MIDI interface that works like a charm!  When you hear the "sax" on my projects, you are hearing this baby running MIDI into my Yamaha Motif!  When you hear grand piano, etc, need I say more?

Left-facingNow if you are looking for an amp that can deliver that smooth jazz sound, here it is!  This Roland Jazz Chorus 120 is my baby! I do have a couple of other preamps, etc, but this baby is my favorite for live stuff!  It does the trick for me each and every time and it is a compact amp!

The Line 6 Pod X3 Pro is an awesome rack of effects and actually can be used on vocals!  I primarily use it to warm up my signal and use some of the multiple effects that it can produce!

Boss RC50 Stereo Loop Station Pedal

This loop station is amazing!  I use this sometimes when I am performing solo.  It has the ability to import tracks and has a bass line that can accompany you.  Excellent toy that I truly enjoy using!
