Bruce McKenzie is a smooth jazz guitarist/gospel artist and is the sole writer/producer to include musician/singer on all of his releases! Bruce has performed with many gospel quartets, both independent and professional, over a 40-year span. In 2005, Bruce also performed as a solo jazz musician for a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser overseas in The Netherlands which contributed to over $100,000 dollars raised. Bruce has also released 5 smooth jazz CDs which all continue to receive significant airplay. He has been featured on several jazz web portals to include SmoothJazz.de in Germany, Allaboutjazz.com and Smoothjazzdaily.com
Bruce's music has recently been selected for the upcoming short film, A Deadly Charter, produced by long-time friend and fellow musician, Hank Slaughter!
Bruce is also a 30-year Air Force veteran and has served all across the globe! He joined the Air Force in 1988 and has been stationed all over to include Germany, England, and South Korea! During his time serving in Germany, Bruce opened for comedian Rich Little! Bruce retired from the Air Force in 2018 after 30 years of honorable service to the Nation!
Bruce is currently releasing singles from his newest album, "I'm Back"! When asked as to what motivates Bruce to record, he said it is "...first and foremost, its God! God has given me the ability to record my inner most thoughts and perspectives into music. Secondly, I do it for my fans that I am so blessed to have all across the world! There are fans that I have in Japan, Australia, South Korea, England, Germany and many other places to include of course the homeland here in the United States! I just love to do what I do!"
Bruce is the sole musician/writer/producer of his musical works! He plays the guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, drums and does all of his background vocals! He is blessed to have a studio in the comfort of his home in San Antonio!
